In searching for an executive communication coach and public speaking coach, I came across Janice who fit the bill perfectly as she offered both coaching services. We worked on refining my communication skills by drafting, reviewing and re-writing emails as well as role-playing. She really helped shift my approach and mentality when it comes to having difficult conversations with team members as well as offering ideas and feedback to senior leaders. As for public speaking, I was preparing for four presentations and although already comfortable with speaking in front of an audience, I was looking to hone my skills. We worked through all of the presentations together and I felt confident and prepared as I delivered them. My sessions with Janice were productive, educational and enjoyable and I wouldn't hesitate to work with her in the future.

I was thrilled earlier this year to be asked to address an audience of nearly 2,000 incoming university students. The speaking format was something totally new to me, and because I wanted to 'knock it out of the park' I contacted Janice. My previous training in public speaking was always done through in-person day-long workshops. Because Janice and I were in different cities, we worked together online. At first, I wasn't sure of how well an online interaction would work -- but Janice was exceptionally organized and fully present, and as a result, her online support far exceeded any training I'd previously received. The best part of working with Janice was that she was honest, encouraging and always constructive. She continued to push me to improve specific parts of my speech and its delivery both through on-the-spot feedback and reference to examples of speakers that shared my similar goals, and to speaking exercises -- until I was sure that I was going to give the audience my very best. I would work with Janice again in a heartbeat, and strongly encourage anyone who is tasked with an important speaking opportunity to reach out to her, too.

I have a feeling that my work with you, when I look back at it in a few years, will be pivotal in my trajectory. That rainy morning, sitting at your glass table when I connected with not having to be perfect. That and everything that followed will be pivotal. Thank you for providing me with the space to go there. I have also come to understand that I have to keep doing this. I have to keep speaking, putting myself out there and growing. I thought to myself after the presentation: "Ok, when is the next one? When do I do this again?" You certainly would not have heard me say that 6 months ago! Janice, I cannot thank you enough.
